Outdoor enthusiasts
will love the Maine accommodation offered at Chambers Cottages . This region of Acadia and Downeast Maine
is among the most spectacular coastal areas in Eastern USA. Miles of pristine Maine beaches abound. The water is brilliantly
clear and abundant with marine life; the coastline dotted with sandy beaches and
colourful lighthouses.
The Seaside Adjunct to Acadia National Park is among the major attractions
in the region. The formal entrance to the park is
about a 15 minute drive from the cottage, but with the right directions, footwear
and gear, hikers can follow a nearby trail to the heart of the protected, wilderness
region.
The park is breathtaking! There are miles of groomed hiking trails to explore
that wind their way along the rocky coast. The huge beach at the Bay is among
the most spectacular white, sandy beaches anywhere! And the harbour seals, shore
birds and ragging surf beg to be photographed!
Acadia National Park includes 35,000 acres of forest, lakes, and mountains surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. The park offers ocean and lake swimming, canoeing, fishing, cruises, tennis, golf, as well as many other popular outdoor activities. It maintains over 120 miles of hiking paths, as well as 55 miles of carriage roads to walk, bicycle, ride horses, and ski.
The Cottages are just a few minutes from the shops, restaurants and museums
of the historic town of Bar Harbor..
